I have just recorded a demonstration of an online tuition session. This is a five minute video just to show how the software works.  I gave the wrong web address but if you are viewing this here you know that my website is www.dissmathstutor.co.uk :-)

At the present time I am unable to upload the video to this website but I have added it to my facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DissMathsTutor/ so please do take a look at it.  I am all set to go with the online tuition (as the photo below illustrates).  If any existing face-to-face students would like to convert then I am more than happy to let them do so.

It is that time of year when parents attend consultation evenings at their child's school to find out how they are settling in in their new class/year group/school.  It can be a worrying time, especially if you feel that your son or daughter is underachieving.  You may feel that he or she is struggling to keep up, or you may even feel that they are not being challenged enough.  Tuition can help at each end of the scale.

On my Facebook page DissMathsTutor, I have already hinted that some exciting new developments are soon to take place.  

I can now reveal that the plan is to offer online maths tuition from the beginning of November. This is something that I have been thinking about for some time, but now I feel that I am ready to 'take the plunge'.  

During the coming half-term holiday, I will be trialling some online lessons with an existing student (who is already familiar with online foreign language lessons), to test the system I will be using. Once I am happy that the experience will be a high quality one, then I will be offering online tuition to existing and prospective students.

As I have now filled all but one of my available sessions (Monday at 7.30am), I have decided to release a new time slot for tuition.  This is at 6.30pm on Mondays and is probably most suitable for a KS3 student or upper KS2 student.  Please contact me if you are interested in this session.

I am very pleased to be able to say that I am now almost fully booked for the Autumn Term.  The following sessions are still available:-

Monday 0730-0830 (One-to-one tuition - £30)
Saturday 1400-1500 (KS3 Saturday Maths Class - £20)
